St.Peter's Church Parkstone

Parish Consultation

On Sunday 31st January we held a Parish Consultation at St.Peter's Church, following on from the Parish Eucharist, which we held at 9.00am (instead of the 8am and 10am services)

We split into 12 groups, each of which submitted a written response, which will be collated and discussed by the Parochial Church Council in the following days.

A response by the PCC will follow

Dreaming On The Dream

Our consultation will help us shape our strategic planning for the future

We need the opinions of everyone who belongs to our church family

Like many churches we are faced with some deep financial challenges in 2010 and beyond

At present our income is £35,000 a year short of balancing the budget, so we need to talk through what we can afford and what we feel is worth giving to sustain

It will be a challenging time for us but, if we can discover a renewed sense of ownership of St.Peter's and a renewed sense of what it means to travel together as disciples of the risen Lord, then this may also turn out to be a real time of blessing for us as a church.

We ask you prayers for our church family as we face up to the challenges of 2010
